This year’s annual conference was organized by the University of Nairobi, Kenya and is part of the trilateral cooperative project “German-African University Partnership Platform for the Development of Entrepreneurship and Small and Medium Enterprises” conducted by University of Nairobi in Kenya, University of Cape Coast in Ghana, and Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences in Germany. The project is made possible by the generous funding of German Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD).

In Kenya, the conference once again brought together representatives from academia, business and industry and other relevant actors and thereby created opportunities for intense exchange, highlighting issues of entrepreneurship and SME development in Africa, international business between Germany and Africa as well as development of enterprises and the training and recruitment of qualified personnel.
